The Jalapeño is often used in Mexican cuisine, but shows an interesting increase in use all around the world. This product with good shelf life can be used in different recipes. We love the stuffed deep-fried Jalapeño with cheese to make a delicious snack and the use of Jalapeño rings as garnish on a dish!

Growing guidelines

Growing worldwide in heated or non-heated greenhouses. Our varieties are specially selected for starting in darker periods /spring and do have strong setting. Next to the protected crops, our PE17-908 and PE17-1163 (NEW) show also good results in the open field.
These Jalapeño varieties do not show the characteristic cracks and even in red harvest conditions the fruits are smooth. Therefor the variety can be used for both green and red harvesting.
It is recommended to plant 3.3 plants per m², pruning to 3 stems per plant. As the side shoots are growing less vigorous, less effort is needed to cultivate these varieties. PE17-1163 has more vigour and is more regular, but the fruit weight is slightly lower.
