Growing guidelines

Tomberry®’s varieties have very open plant-types, small leaves and thin stems. Even though the plants appear generative, they do need generative growing conditions and benefit from being grafted on a generative rootstock. Sowing temperature around 25°C is recommended. Due to the very high number of flowers per cluster, more bumblebees are needed to achieve optimal setting compared to other varieties. The bush-shapes clusters consist of around 200-250 fruits per cluster. The clusters are harvested as a whole, when ±70% of the fruits are mature. After about 4-5 days of drying, the ripe fruits can be shaken off the cluster easily. Do not add hand picked fruits and green fruits to avoid quality issues.
